2017 Appalachian Axetravaganza

This is the First Annual Appalachian Axetravaganza!

Last winter I started looking for a local gathering of likeminded axe enthusiasts relatively close to my home, I couldn't find any. Long story short, I committed to making this happen! We currently have a timber sponsor, Heartwood Tree Service LLC. They will bring a few loads of green logs. I have also reached out to a few of the big players in the axe game and they expressed interest, including a local college timber sports team. If this Axetravaganza is a big as I believe it will be, I'm sure they will commit. If not this year then next.

Catawba River Campground is located 30 min East of Asheville North Carolina. It's a private campground so a small fee will apply. Being a private campground also means no government involvement. This campground is located on the banks of the Catawba River and we have the whole campground booked for the weekend. Feel free to bring your fishing gear and swim trunks. This event will be centered around the axe, one of the most important tools in human history. Collectors, makers, users, vendors and enthusiasts are all welcome!
Axe Junkies and Catawba River Campground share one simple rule, don't be a jerk.
