If Women Will Not Be Inclined: Women Composers, Women's Voices
In this unique recital, VPR pays tribute to four women composers whose genius and persistence overcame the odds: celebrated 19th opera diva sisters Maria Malibran and Pauline Viardot, American composer and concert pianist Amy Marcy Cheney Beach, and the tragically short-lived, but deeply influential Lili Boulanger. Included in our program courtesy of Womens Philharmonic Advocacys kind permission to use their new engraving will be the first known public hearing of Amy Beachs unpublished song If Women Will Not Be Inclined.
