Takoma Radio Presents Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra - Live at Allyworld

Join Takoma Radio for an intimate night at Allyworld, right in the heart of Takoma Park on Thursday, March 30th. The Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra wraps up our month-long fundraising campaign with a live jazz performance. We will broadcast the event live on the air on WOWD 94.3FM and streaming at takomaradio.org. Doors open at 8:45pm. Performance begins at 9:05pm

The Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra is a 17-piece big band founded by baritone saxophonist Brad Linde and Bohemian Caverns owner Omrao Brown. From April 2010 until March 2016, the BCJO performed every Monday night at the Historic Bohemian Caverns in Washington, D.C.

The BCJO presents a variety of big band literature and features some of the District's best musicians. Selections from Ellington, Basie, Strayhorn, Thad Jones, OliverNelson, Maria Schneider and originals by band members embrace and challenge the tradition of the big band repertoire. Airshows 800 square feet Allyworld room serves as the largest recording space of the studio (which is equipped for recording, mixing and mastering). When not functioning as a recording room, Allyworld occasionally hosts live events.
