FLHS Planetarium Night 2017
The Fair Lawn High School Planetarium will be opening its doors to the public on the evening of Wednesday May 24th to raise funds for our Astronomy programs. Join us for an evening under the stars to explore the current night sky, view our rock and roll laser effect show, and see the FULLDOME feature titled: "Eclipse". Eclipse is a planetarium show that teaches about the movement of our Earth and Moon and the dynamics behind the phenomenon of Eclipses. With a total solar eclipse occurring on August 21st 2017 in North America, now is the time to learn how and when to safely experience this astronomical event. Eclipse glasses are included with VIP and Benefactor Admission. The doors open for 1 children's session and 3 General sessions. The children's session will begin at 4:45pm. General sessions begin at 5:45PM, 6:45PM and 7:45PM. Tickets are available for $10 in advance by May 23rd 2017 @ 2pm. Advance ticket purchase required, seating is limited.
The children's session which will be shorter in length (30 minutes) begins at 4:45pm. The content of this show will be geared towards pre-school to 1st graders. (ages 5-8) We will look at the current sky and watch a feature film. Questions can be directed to Planetarium Director, Andy Temme at atemme@fairlawnschools.org
Arrive 10 minutes early via the main parking lot entrance which can be entered at the intersection of Fairclough PL. and Kipp St.
Ages 7 and up. General Admission - first come, first selection seating. VIP Admission - first come first selection seating, eclipse glasses included Benefactor Admission - Select reserved seating, eclipse glasses, Name on our wall of fame, As this is a fundraiser, refunds will not be processed.
