Les Dames in the Kitchen - Flavors of North Carolina

Dames in the Kitchen will bring together eight cookbook authors and chefs to present a dinner benefiting the InterFaith Food Shuttle (IFC), a statewide organization which addresses food insecurity. Cookbook authors Sandra Gutierrez, Susi Seguret Gott, and Nancie McDermott will be joined by restaurateurs and chefs Sera Cuni of The Root Cellar in Chapel Hill, Jill Santa Lucia from Catering Works in Raleigh, Rhonda Jones from Chez Moi Bakery in Durham, Stephanie Tyson of Sweet Potatoes in Winston-Salem, and Spring Council of Mama Dips in Chapel Hill, to create a delicious dinner. Each chef station will showcase regional flavors of North Carolina.

The evening will also feature live bluegrass by Appalachian Appetite - a five-person ensemble with members from Asheville to Chapel Hill (including Dame Susi Seguret Gott). Attendees may write off $30 from each ticket as a tax-deductible donation and anyone (even those not attending) may purchase raffle tickets. Each $10 raffle ticket offers purchasers more than a dozen chances to win great prizes, including an entertainment package in Las Vegas with a two-night stay at Planet Hollywood, two tickets to a Caesars Entertainment show, and dinner for two to Gordon Ramsey's BurGR or Spice Market Buffet. Other prizes include a night stay at Fearrington Inn with breakfast for two; a night stay at The Sanderling Resort in Duck, NC with dinner at the Blue Point Restaurant; a dessert social for 10 by Tonya's Cookie Company; a NC Dames gift basket with a cookbook library and a day at the Seasonal School of Culinary Arts in Asheville, NC; a Coon Rock Farm CSA produce box; and more... Each ticket offers a chance to win each of these prizes, so multiple chances per ticket!
