Steel City Roller Derby January 31st Pre-Tyrout Bootcamp

Description:Steel City Roller Derby is recruiting AND WE WANT YOU!

This is a skating bootcamp offered by Steel City Roller Derby where you can learn the skills necessary to try out for SCRDs next Fresh Meat class! Prior skating experience is helpful, but not necessary.

Bootcamps will be approximately 1 and 1/2 hours in length. You must be at least 18 years of age and female to participate. An individual who identifies as a trans woman, intersex woman, and/or gender expansive may skate with Steel City Roller Derby if womens flat track roller derby is the version and composition of roller derby with which they most closely identify.

Participants must wear all required safety gear: helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, and mouthguard. Some gear will be available for borrowing, but these are in limited supply and we cannot guarantee to have enough for everyone. You MUST bring your own mouthguard, and it must be formed before coming to the bootcamp (you can follow the instructions that come with it). A small number of borrowed skates will be available for use. Bootcamps are closed to spectators.

Tryouts will take place in March of 2017. You must attend at least one of our six bootcamps in order to tryout.
