This Mother's Day, award-winning conceptual artist Brian Feldman plans to hug his Mom, Marilyn Wattman-Feldman, for 24 minutes, in 3 cities, in 1 day.

"24 Minute Embrace" is the follow-up to "24 Hour Embrace (after Young Sun Han)," Brian's 2011 project which featured him and his Dad sharing a hug - in a boxing ring - for the full duration of Father's Day (facebook.com/events/172406659480310).
Each minute of "24 Minute Embrace" represents every hour of Mother's Day. For the final 2 minutes in each city, the public is invited to join the embrace as well.
"24 Minute Embrace" marks the first time, in nearly 12 years of producing performance art events, that Brian Feldman Projects is presenting a project in multiple cities in a single day.

Photography and Video is allowed in Kogod Courtyard. Tripods may be used in the Courtyard, but not in any of the galleries or other locations around the museums. Please understand that you may not bring cameras or equipment into any other parts of the museum.

ABOUT BRIAN FELDMAN PROJECTS
Brian Feldman is an award-winning conceptual artist, working primarily in time-based performance. ABOUT MARILYN WATTMAN-FELDMAN
Marilyn Wattman-Feldman has extensive experience as a writer, editor and public relations specialist; having written for numerous publications at a local, state and national level. The recipient of a Simon Rockower Award for Excellence in Jewish Journalism for an investigative series she wrote for the Heritage Florida Jewish News, she has also been honored by the Florida Press Association. In 2008, Marilyn was awarded a Professional Development Grant from United Arts of Central Florida. The resulting project was a play, "Chemonologues," which debuted with a reading at Theatre Downtown in Orlando.
In addition to her professional work, Marilyn has an extensive volunteer resume. She has been an active volunteer on behalf of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. She has served in leadership roles including Survivor/Caregiver Chair, Advocacy Chair and Team Captain. In her advocacy position, Marilyn became a member of the Cancer Action Network and as part of ACS CAN, traveled to Tallahassee on three occasions to meet with legislators in order to bring awareness of the need for financial resources to support research at the state level. She is also a volunteer for the American Diabetes Association's Step Out for Diabetes and Oviedo YMCA. In January 2015, Marilyn took on the role of Division Leader for the Oviedo Y's Annual Community Campaign. In all of her volunteer activities, she is able to use the skills obtained from decades of experience in communications.
In a more artistic way, Marilyn is one-quarter of The Feldman Dynamic. She has eaten meals on stage with her real life family over 40 times, including performances at FringeNYC - The New York International Fringe Festival and the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival.
Marilyn is a proud graduate of the Community College of Philadelphia and Temple University, where she earned a B.A. in Journalism. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she moved her family from Bucks County, PA to Central Florida in the fall of 1988.
She has completed the manuscript for a book titled "High Maintenance: Surviving Cancer at All Costs." This biographic memoir chronicles 12 plus years of her continuous cancer journey since Marilyn is on lifetime maintenance treatment. Diagnosed in December 2000 with stage one breast cancer, it metastasized in 2002 to the lungs and eventually the bones.
